Can people with mastocytosis be vaccinated?

In mastocytosis there is an increase in the number of mast cells. Mast cells are located in tissues that are in contact with the outside world. They have a specific role in defense. People with mastocytosis have a normal immune system. But they are more likely to have serious allergic reactions.

The administration of a vaccine against COVID-19 does not cause a higher risk of allergic reactions in mastocytosis than other vaccines. So you can simply be vaccinated. It is recommended that people with mastocytosis report this to the vaccination center and that they stay for 30 minutes instead of 15 minutes for observation.
