Is sunscreen spray as effective as sunscreen?

Sunscreen spray and sunscreen can both be effective in protecting the skin from harmful UV rays when applied properly.

Both sunscreen spray and sunscreen can provide high SPF and protect against both UVA and UVB rays. The SPF (Sun Protection Factor) value on the product determines the degree of protection, regardless of the form (spray or cream).

It is often easier to apply an even and thick layer of sunscreen, which ensures reliable protection. It can be more difficult to apply a sufficient amount to the skin with a spray. Wind can also affect outdoor application, leading to uneven coverage.

For both types, a generous amount should be used. A rule of thumb is to use at least a teaspoon of sunscreen per limb and a glass bottle of spray for full body coverage. Both should be reapplied every two hours, and more often if you swim, sweat, or dry yourself.
