Are there plasters against mosquito bites?

There are patches specifically designed to provide relief from mosquito bites. These patches have different properties and are said to help reduce itching, swelling and irritation.

These patches often contain ingredients such as hydrocortisone, camphor or menthol that help reduce itching. Some plasters have a cooling effect, which can reduce pain and swelling. They form a physical barrier against scratching, which helps prevent further irritation and infection.

Some patches promise to speed up the healing process by keeping the skin hydrated and protected. The Compeed company used to sell plasters specially developed for the treatment of insect bites, including mosquito bites. Moskinto anti-mosquito patches are still on the market. The company itself states that they do not contain any chemicals or additives, which makes their effectiveness questionable.
