How does a mosquito poison extractor work?

A mosquito venom extractor is a device used to remove the venom and saliva residue from a mosquito bite, which is said to reduce itching and swelling.

The mosquito venom extractor consists of a small cylindrical device with a pump mechanism. When you place the device on the skin and activate the pump, it creates a vacuum. The vacuum creates a suction that pulls the poison, saliva and other irritants from the skin. This is done through the small mouthpiece that is placed on the bite.

Removing these irritants would help reduce the body's response to the bite, resulting in less itching, swelling and redness. In practice, however, the effect of the device on itching and swelling is very limited. The aspirator should be used as soon as possible after the mosquito bite. Otherwise the poison has had plenty of time to take effect before being removed and the effect is virtually non-existent.
