How many people with COVID-19 do not survive the disease?
If we look at the group of people who tested positive for COVID-19, survival is very variable. Some studies speak of 0.2% mortality, others of 12% mortality. Mortality is probably lower because many people become ill without being tested. Mortality also depends on the available medical support.
In rural areas with few hospitals, mortality will therefore be higher. Mortality also depends strongly on the age of the population. The older the population, the more concomitant disease and the greater the mortality.
