Headache
Everyone knows the headache after a night out. But some people also have headaches without having a hangover. Why does this happen and what can you do about it?
There are many causes of headaches, but fortunately headaches are very rarely a sign of a serious illness.
Tension headaches are the most common and are characterized by a band-shaped pressure on the forehead or neck. Migraine is another form of headache that typically affects only one side. Many people do not know that you can also get a headache by taking too many headache medications. But you can also get a headache if you drink or sleep too little.
What can you do about the headache? It is best not to immediately resort to medication, but try to rest first, avoid large temperature differences and do not drink ice-cold water and avoid alcohol, coffee and chocolate.
Go to the doctor immediately if the headache comes on suddenly and is accompanied by neck pain, a speech disorder or paralysis of an arm or leg.
