How can I stop smoking?

Everyone knows that smoking is not good for your health. Many smokers want to quit but have a hard time doing so. Read below how it can be done.

In addition to lung cancer, smoking also causes shortness of breath, heart attacks and erectile dysfunction. Smoking is highly addictive because nicotine gives a pleasant feeling. If you stop smoking, you will suffer from nervousness, headaches, sleep problems or increased appetite. Anyone who quits smoking should know that this can take a few weeks. Many smokers are also afraid of gaining weight. Quitting smoking can indeed cause a weight gain of two kilos.

Stopping smoking starts with motivation: you have to want to quit. And not only for those around you, but especially for yourself. Most smokers need several attempts or sometimes even aids such as nicotine patches that you can buy in the pharmacy. Your doctor can also prescribe medication. These are reimbursed just like a consultation with a tobaccologist.
