Travel pharmacy
A lot of people are going on a trip soon. But what all do you need?
There are a number of medicines that you should always take with you, regardless of whether you are going to the Belgian coast or to the jungle in South America. It is best to consult your pharmacist for a remedy against diarrhea, nausea and constipation. A pain and fever reducer as well as an anti-allergy medicine is always useful.
Warm and humid regions often have many insects. Therefore, take an insect repellent with DEET as well as an ointment against insect bites. Walkers and athletes should also put a cold pack, some plasters and disinfectant in their travel luggage. Don't forget the sunscreen. If you are really going to the tropics, remember appropriate vaccinations, antibiotics and an anti-malaria drug.
Also take your health insurance details with you, as well as your chronic medication and, if necessary, a medical certificate for medicines during air travel.
