5:2 Fast Diet
The '5:2 fast diet' is a form of an intermittent diet. It became famous because the British journalist Michael Mosley was a supporter of it.
The '5:2 fast diet' is not that different from the other intermittent diets. The best-known intermittent diet is the 16:8 diet where you do not eat for 16 hours a day. With the '5:2 fast diet' you eat normally 5 days a week and follow a diet of 500 to 600 kilocalories for 2 days.
This diet is more of a hype and is not based on scientific substantiation. No health benefits can be attributed to this diet.
