Will you masturbate less if you eat cornflakes?

The idea that eating cornflakes will help reduce masturbation is a persistent myth that dates back to the 19th century. This myth is associated with Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, one of the inventors of corn flakes.

Dr. Kellogg had very strict and puritanical ideas about health and sexuality. He believed that many diseases and problems were caused by excessive sexual activity, including masturbation. Kellogg promoted a simple and tasteless diet as a way to suppress sexual urges. Cornflakes, one of the products he developed, fit into this diet because it was a simple and tasteless food that he believed would contribute to less sexual arousal.

However, there is no scientific evidence that eating cornflakes has any effect on a person's sexual urges or behavior. The idea that certain foods directly influence sexual desires or behaviors is largely unfounded. Masturbation is a normal and healthy part of human behavior, and food generally has no direct impact on this habit.

In short, eating cereal probably won't affect your urge to masturbate.
