Can you get a second vaccine if you had side effects to the first vaccine?
It is normal for a number of side effects to occur in the days after vaccination. These are usually mild and disappear after a few days. These side effects are not a contraindication to receiving a second vaccine. Nor is the occurrence of side effects a reason to receive a different vaccine for the second injection.
Additional precautions are only necessary if serious side effects occurred as a result of the first injection. Serious side effects may include anaphylactic shock or another serious allergic reaction that affects the entire body. Then it is appropriate to receive the second injection in the hospital.
