Will the corona vaccine make you infertile?

Two researchers, Yeadon and Wodarg, once wondered to what extent the vaccine can lead to infertility in women. The vaccine induces an immune response against the spike protein of the coronavirus. According to the researchers, the immune response would also generate antibodies against the syncytin-1 protein because the spike protein and syncytin-1 are very similar.

Syncytin-1 has an important role in the development of the placenta. An immune reaction against syncytin-1 could cause infertility in women. But to induce such cross-immunity, both proteins must have 8 to 20 identical amino acids. For the spine protein and syncytin-1, the overlap is only 2 to 3 amino acids, ruling out cross-immunity and infertility.
