Is dexamethasone a miracle cure for COVID-19?
Dexamethasone is a synthetic form of our body's own cortisol that we all know as cortisone. We know from a British study that dexamethasone increases the chances of survival in people with COVID-19 who require ventilation. For other patients, dexamethasone is not useful and it certainly has no place in prevention as dexamethasone has many side effects.
