Does Oscillococcinum work against COVID-19?

Some people claim that the homeopathic product Oscillococcinum may be useful for the prevention and/or treatment of COVID-19. The website of Boiron, the manufacturer of the product, has stated for years that clinical studies show Boiron Oscillococcinum (Oscillo) reduces the duration and severity of flu-like symptoms when taken at the onset of symptoms.

It is said to temporarily reduce flu-like symptoms such as body aches, headaches, fever, chills and fatigue. Although this text does not state that Oscillococcinum works against COVID-19, you could assume so since COVID-19 is a coronavirus, just like the common cold viruses.

However, the Boiron company has added to its website that Oscillococcinum - is not a miracle cure - against COVID-19. On the one hand it is good that they report this correct information and on the other hand it undermines their claim that they work against other viruses.
