Can chiropraxia strengthen your resistance to COVID-19?
There is no scientific evidence that chiropractic directly strengthens your resistance. Chiropractic is an alternative treatment method that focuses primarily on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, especially back and neck pain, through spinal manipulation and other techniques.
Although some chiropractic practitioners claim that their treatments can contribute to better overall health, including a stronger immune system, scientific studies do not conclusively support these claims.
Chiropractic care is said to help reduce stress and relieve pain, which can indirectly contribute to improved well-being and possibly a better functioning immune system. Chronic pain and stress can suppress the immune system, so alleviating these factors can have indirect positive effects.
Better physical health can contribute to better overall health. If chiropractic care helps improve mobility and reduce pain, it can contribute to a better quality of life, increased physical activity and a general sense of well-being, all of which can contribute positively to health.
There is no solid scientific evidence that spinal manipulations or other chiropractic procedures directly strengthen the immune system. Most studies of chiropractic focus on its effectiveness in relieving musculoskeletal pain and not on its impact on the immune system.
