If the thyroid gland works too fast, too many thyroid hormones are produced and we speak of hyperthyroidism. If it works too slowly, insufficient hormones are produced and we speak of hypothyroidism. If the thyroid gland works too fast, this can manifest itself in weight loss, diarrhea, palpitations and nervousness. If he works too slowly, this can manifest itself in weight gain, constipation, fatigue and depression. Your doctor can check the functioning of your thyroid gland with a simple blood test and, if necessary, prescribe medication.
