Who is entitled to the Increased Compensation status?

In an earlier message you can find information about the benefits of the 'Increased Allowance' (VT status). Please clarify here who is eligible for this VT status.

If you already receive an increased benefit, your health insurance fund will do the necessary. This applies to people who have received a living wage or other OCMW support for at least 3 months, or elderly people with an income guarantee or guaranteed income, or allowance for persons with a disability or for assistance to the elderly, or allowance for children with a disability or condition. Even if you are registered as an orphan or unaccompanied minor, your health insurance fund will do the necessary.

Finally, people with a low income will receive a VT status. Your gross taxable income in 2013 may not exceed 16,744 Euro plus 3,100 per dependent. This amount is slightly higher for pensioners, disabled and disabled people, widows/widowers, people who have been unemployed or disabled for more than one year and single-parent families. This amount will be adjusted annually.
