Do men who ejaculate frequently have a lower risk of prostate cancer?

There is research suggesting that men who ejaculate more often may have a lower risk of prostate cancer.

A large-scale study from Harvard University, published in *European Urology* (2016), found that men who ejaculate frequently, especially during their adult years, have a lower risk of prostate cancer. The study found that men who ejaculated about 21 times per month had a 20% lower risk of developing prostate cancer compared to men who ejaculated less often.

The hypothesis is that frequent ejaculation may help remove harmful substances from the prostate and reduce the buildup of potentially cancer-causing substances. While this association exists, experts stress that ejaculation frequency is just one of many factors that can influence prostate cancer risk. Age, genetics, and other health factors also play a significant role.
