What does a psychognomist do?
A psychognomist practices psychognomy, a pseudoscientific method that claims to be able to infer a person's personality or character from physical characteristics, such as facial shape, facial features, or body type. It is related to outdated disciplines such as physiognomy.
There is no scientific basis for psychognomy. Studies show that such methods are strongly influenced by subjective prejudices and cultural stereotypes. Modern psychology rejects psychognomy as a valid diagnostic tool.
