Can a Japanese Head Sauna restore hair in people undergoing chemo?

A Japanese Head Spa (sometimes called a Japanese Head Sauna) is a relaxing treatment that focuses on cleansing, moisturizing, and massaging the scalp, but it cannot guarantee hair restoration for people who have undergone chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy damages rapidly growing cells, including hair follicles. This leads to hair loss, but hair usually grows back gradually after treatment. Regrowth depends on the damage to the hair follicles, the chemo used, and the overall health of the person.

The Japanese Head Spa may support hair growth, but it does not repair damaged hair follicles or accelerate hair growth after chemo.

Hair usually grows back within 3-6 months after the last chemo treatment. Protein, iron, and vitamins such as biotin can support hair growth. Gentle massage, moisturizing treatments, and mild shampoos can keep the scalp healthy. A doctor may recommend treatments such as minoxidil or PRP (platelet rich plasma) therapy as additional support.

So, while a Japanese Head Spa can be relaxing for the scalp, it is not a guarantee for hair recovery after chemo.
