Are jet lag glasses useful?
The usefulness of jet lag glasses is very limited, and only in specific situations. The effect is very limited, not miraculous. The scientific evidence is certainly not robust.
Jet lag goggles (e.g., with blue light or blue light blocking) attempt to shift the body clock by providing extra blue light to delay your circadian rhythm or blocking blue light to delay it.
The idea is the same as light therapy, which has been proven effective in shifting the biological clock. It only works if you use the goggles at the right time (according to a jet lag schedule).
For light therapy in general, there is strong evidence that it can shift the circadian clock. For jet lag goggles as a commercial product, the evidence is limited, often based on small studies and not always conducted independently.
There is no hard scientific consensus that jet lag goggles are clearly better than regular light therapy or schedule adjustments.
Jet lag glasses are definitely not useful for short trips (1-2 time zones), if you don't wear them at the right times, and if you expect them to completely prevent jet lag.
